ICAS Brings Guest Room Management to Capital Gate Abu Dhabi

Oct 2019 | Al Mazroui
Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi offers 188 five-star luxury guestrooms and suites, occupying the 18th to 33rd floors of the Capital Gate tower. Thanks to Al Mazroui ICAS, the happy guests of the 21 suites can now enjoy the benefits of KNX Building Automation with a state-of-the-art guestroom management system.

The First Andaz Branded Hotel in the Middle East

With an inclination of 18 degrees and a height of 160 metres, Capital Gate has been recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s farthest manmade leaning building. The tower was developed by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) and designed by RMJM. The external construction was completed in January 2010. Capital Gate is a 33-storey building, covering 50,000 square metres. It forms the centre piece of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre's development.

Occupying the 18th to 33rd floors of the Capital Gate building, the Andaz hotel by Hyatt offers 188 five-star luxury guestrooms, including 21 suites. The Hyatt Hotels Corporation defines the Andaz concept as “vibrant luxury lifestyle hotels rooted in local art and culture.” Each room has floor-to-ceiling windows, unique art and the hotel is also home to a selection of restaurants, along with a spa, a rooftop swimming pool and a fitness centre. The hotel’s art gallery and cultivated dining experiences will transform anyone’s stay in a fully local experience. In The National, Stuart Deeson, general manager of the hotel, declared: “with this opening, we hope to significantly enhance the traveller experience in the capital by delivering guests luxury accommodations, unique local insights and creative inspiration for which the brand is known.”

Automatising the Leaning Tower of Abu Dhabi

In order to provide its guests with the most comfort possible, Andaz Capital Gate has opted for KNX building automation: a system which provides automated control and monitoring within a building. This mission was entrusted to Al Mazroui ICAS which chose Jung’s ultramodern products, made in Germany. Thanks to a user-friendly aluminium keypad, the Jung technology enables the five-star hotel’s customers to control their room in a smart way. At the push of a button, they can control the AC of their room quickly and effortlessly.

As the main dealer for Jung in the GCC and Lebanon, Al Mazroui ICAS not only supplied the German brand’s products, but also offered its technical support and expertise for the optimal installation of the building automation. Established in 1995, Al Mazroui ICAS, a company of the Al Mazroui Group, has been constantly growing in the fields of building automation as well as cables and low current systems. The company has been bringing its ingenious solutions and high-end products to several other prestigious projects, such as the Burj Khalifa, City Walk by Meraas and the Emirates Palace.
