"Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise"

Aug 2017 | Al Mazroui
This quote was made famous by Benjamin Franklin, scientist, polymath and one of the founding fathers of the United States. The ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle was also a fan of early morning productivity, stating “It is well to be up before daybreak, for such habits contribute to health, wealth, and wisdom.” But studies from more top universities (e.g. University of Liege) concluded that these great thinkers have got the facts all wrong.

When comparing larks and owls, they found that there was no noticeable difference in mental performance when the groups were tested in the morning. However, when it came to the evening, the larks performed noticeably worse at most tasks compared to their owl counterparts.

Yet there is a universal truth valid for larks and owls: whatever the moment chosen to disconnect from the “awake activities”, they both want to enjoy a good restful sleep and to take pleasure in sweet peaceful dreams (even better if possible to remember after waking up), to heal their bodies and minds.

Remember the Sleep Myths Busters from Swede Dreams? Chasing “the best dreams ever”, they haunt the world in long and wide, struggled, strived, dug and searched, analyzed and researched and… they gave life to the wishes whispered by the sleep seekers: “memory foam mattresses”.

That was the supreme moment, the most important innovation in mattress design in a generation.

For years mattresses have been made two ways, with metal springs and, more recently, with memory foam. Springs ensure a great ventilation to keep you feeling fresh, while memory foam melts underneath absorbing your body in its depth. Swede Dreams took things further, creating the best of both worlds, constructed from layers of individual memory foam springs.

Even if Nikola Tesla or Winston Churchill found rest in strange ways of dividing the day into hours of sleep, Swede Dreams Myths Busters wisely and firmly believe that nothing compares to a soothing sleep on a comfortable mattress. Don’t you think the same?
