On The Top of The World

Dominating the heights, imperiously towering Dubai’s skyline, striking the sky with its glorious sharp peak, Burj Khalifa is the symbol of nowadays civil construction performance, a world’s reference center.

4 ingenious minds imagined the dazzling architecture of the Arabic Peninsula’s beacon which clocks in at an outstanding 828m in height: Adrian Smith, William F. Baker, George J. Efstathiou and Marshall Strabala. Islamic traditional patterns have been melted and blended harmoniously with daring up-to-the-minute designs, creating a futuristic structure as if from the sci-fi movies, which challenges the test of time. Inspired from the Hymenocallis desert flower, the lines and curves of the tower not only reduce the wind forces of the building, but also allow each tenant to have an incredible view of surrounds.

And as if the design were not impressive enough, mankind is once again daunting by the technology used for this colossal construction of 330,000m3 of concrete and 39,000 tons of steel rebar, taking 22 million man-hours.

But what lies behind each project, especially projects of this magnitude?

As we wrote in a previous article, “you would never think about all of the networking laying underneath the breathtaking designs or hidden behind the curtains while spinning in Dubai Eye and enjoying the views of Dubai Marina and landmarks such as Burj Khalifa, Palm Jumeirah or Burj Al Arab. But without connectivity, this wouldn’t be possible”. (Get Wired to Dubai Eye)

Networking and connectivity are the essence which makes things move in such impressive projects, as data transmissions are sine qua non to overcome any constraints that may occur.  And Al Mazroui ICAS is mastering this field with ingenious solutions and high-quality products supplied by their partners from USA, Germany and Italy:
